Hey, Botanic Stranger! 2023, Società delle Api’s residency, Grasse
During my art residency at Società delle Api in Grasse (2023), hosted at Silvia Fiorucci's Moulin des Ribes, the garden took center stage. As I spent time in this exquisite landscape, designed by Marco Bay, I noticed the wildflowers and greens thriving despite the garden's careful maintenance. This observation inspired me to create a series of botanical drawings, paying attention to the flowers that have been overlooked and considered insignificant while at the same time highlighting nature’s persistence and independence.
