SOFT THINGS 2025
Soft Things brings together found online imagery and my own photographs—intimate fragments of bodies and everyday objects—hand-transferred onto aluminum sheets.
The title names a mood more than it describes what you see. I’m drawn to the friction between the cold, industrial surface and the warmth and vulnerability of organic forms. Through small, tactile interventions—scratching, rubbing, bending—I interrupt the metal’s smoothness with my touch, leaving marks that soften its rigidity. These works are my way of thinking about how bodies, desire, and beauty are mediated, perceived, and consumed, now blurring the boundaries between the public and the intimate, the personal and the shared.
